Sedan Crashes Into Pole After Striking & Killing Pedestrian

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 4-19-23 / 2:25 am
LOCATION: 1212 Westheimer Rd
CITY: Houston
DETAILS:

1. HPD units are investigating a fatal auto vs pedestrian.
2. It was reported a couple was on their first date.
3. They just left the Voodoo Doughnut when the female saw a vehicle traveling westbound on Westheimer at a high rate of speed.
4. The vehicle then lost control and jumped the curb onto the sidewalk striking the male, knocking him a good distance away.
5. The vehicle then hit a pole.
6. There was two females and one male inside the car. A female believed to be in her 30’s was driving the vehicle.
7. All three were transported by ambulance and will survive.
8. Investigation is underway.
