Crews arriving on scene located a two-story apartment building with heavy fire showing from the second-floor.

Firefighters initiated an aggressive fire attack and began evacuating residents from the building as the fire spread from unit to unit.

It took crews nearly an hour gain control of the fire which had taken hold in the building’s common attic.

At least two people suffered from smoke inhalation and another was burned. Two of the three patients, including the burn patient, were transported to area hospitals in unknown condition.
