SDPD Pursuit Ends In Crash With Ambulance | San Diego

LOCATION: Eastbound I-8 @ Waring Road.

DETAILS:
San Diego Police were in pursuit of a Volvo station wagon out of Mid City at 46th St & Orange Ave.
There was a male and female inside the Volvo.
The pursuit continued onto the Eastbound I-8 freeway.
The suspects got off at the offramp at Waring Rd where the suspect vehicle collided with a Falck ambulance.
The suspect vehicle returned onto the I-8 Freeway where the vehicle stopped.
The 2 suspects fled on foot, and were eventually captured at gunpoint.
The female suspect was transported to UCSD hospital with serious injuries.
Both occupants of the ambulance were transported to a local hospital for minor injuries.
The Volvo was reported stolen.
