SDPD Chases Man On Motorcycle With No Helmet

DETAILS:

 

1. An SDPD officer attempted to stop a male riding a motorcycle on Howard St for not wearing a helmet.
2. The rider fled, and the officer found the male hiding in a parking lot off of Howard St.
3. The suspect then took off again with the officer in pursuit.
4. The rider fled east on Howard and then went north on Ohio St.
5. The suspect then attempted to turn left onto El Cajon Blvd.
6. He apparently didn’t see the center divider and hit it.
7. The rider went flying.
8. He got up off the street and fled on foot, where officers caught him in an alley off of 30th St.
9. The rider suffered a serious head injury and was transported to a local hospital.
10. El Cajon Blvd is closed from Illinois St to 30th St in both directions for the investigation.
