Scout Fire | Riverside
08.26.2021 | 4:55 PM | RIVERSIDE – Riverside Fire Department responded to a fire call near Fairmount Park lake.
When they arrived they found a fire, about 1 acre in heavy fuels and strong wind
They quickly called a two alarm due to the wind.
The fire currently sits at around 10 acres in heavy fuel and around 40 structures in immediate danger and structure protection is currently taking place, no evacuations.
They have mutual aid from Cal Fire Riverside.
RFD was denied water tender and dozer resources for assistance on the fire due to a lack of resources in the area due to other fires in the state.
There is currently a 2nd 2 alarm fire in Riverside at Tyler and Jurupa.
