Scooter Rider Suffers Major Injuries After Being Struck In High Speed Crash

LOCATION: 111 S Madisson Ave
AREA/CITY: Los Angeles
DETAILS:

1. LAPD & LAFD responded to a two car crash also involving a pedestrian
2. Firefighters arrived to find a white Mercedes that struck a mini van & a pedestrian riding a scooter
3. The scooterist was transported in critical condition & may have passed away at the hospital
4. At least one other person was taken to an area hospital in unknown condition
5. It appears the white Mercedes was traveling at a high rate of speed when it crashed
6. The circumstances surrounding the crash are still unknown
7. LAPD WTD cannot investigate until the downed power lines have been secured
8. LAPD WTD will handle the investigation
