School Bus Crash Leaves Car Totaled In Loma Linda

A driver was hospitalized and a young boy was found safe following a crash involving a school bus and another vehicle Monday afternoon in Loma Linda.
First responders were dispatched around 1:30 p.m. on October 5, 2026, to the area of Baron Road and East Washington Street. Initial reports indicated a school bus had collided with a vehicle and that a child may have also been struck by the bus.
When first responders arrived, they determined the child had actually been inside the school bus and had not been struck. The boy was assessed at the scene and appeared to be unharmed or to have suffered only extremely minor injuries.
The boy’s mother arrived at the scene frantic after hearing about the crash but was visibly relieved to learn her son was OK.
The driver of the other vehicle was transported by ambulance with injuries of unknown severity. The vehicle sustained severe damage and appeared to be totaled.
The school bus sustained moderate front-end damage. No additional details regarding what caused the collision were immediately available.
