Santa Paula: Horse Rescued From Freeway By Officers & Good Samaritans
02.11.2019 | 12:31 AM | SANTA PAULA – A horse was rescued after being found running in traffic, Monday morning.
Officers responded to reports of a horse running loose in lanes of the SR-150 near Stonegate Road with near-miss collisions around 12:31 AM.
Units arriving in the area located the horse along with several Good Samaritans attempting to corral the equestrian.
With the assistance of the Good Samaritans, California Highway Patrol officers were able to secure the horse.
Ventura County Animal Services responded to the scene and took custody of the horse which appeared to be malnourished.
It was unclear where the horse was from and how it got loose.
