- Over the night, the mountain fire made a significant push into the southern side of santa paula threatening another mass of homes scattered through out the ranch style neighborhoods.
- Fire fighters from all over the state of california have been flooding into the incident as powerful santa ana wind gusts continue to feed the fire into extreme behavior.
- Explosive uphill and down canyon runs have continued to push fire fighters to retreat from neighborhoods, but so of the homes with significant defensible space have also allowed fire fighters to make strong successful stands agains the fire in order to save homes.
- Helicopters dropped a slew of retardant drops, several of which pummeled fire fighters soaking them to the bone in the pink goo.
- Late into the night the fire behavior has finally started to slow as the fire makes its way down into the valleys near main roads.
- The fire is still at zero percent containment, and has been recently mapped at 14,159 acres.
- More powerful santa ana winds will continue through out the night and day tomorrow
