Santa Fe Springs: Man Stabbed To Death Near Elementary School

09.25.2019 | 3:13 PM | SANTA FE SPRINGS – A man was stabbed to death near an elementary school prompting a lockdown, Wednesday evening.

Authorities responded to reports of man down with possible stab wounds at the Gateway Plaza shopping center near the intersection of Telegraph Road and Gateway Plaza around 3:13 PM.

Units arriving on scene found an adult male down suffering from numerous stab wounds and began life saving efforts including CPR.

Firefighter paramedics continued to provide treatment while transporting the victim to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Witnesses told officers that two suspects described as male hispanics fled the scene shortly after the stabbing.

An intensive search for the suspects was initiated that led to the lockdown of nearby Graves Middle School before the men were apprehended.
