Santa Fe Springs: Man Found Dead In Street Near City Hall After Reported Bar Fight

09.18.2019 | 12:55 AM | SANTA FE SPRINGS – Authorities are investigating after a man was found dead near city hall, early Wednesday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a man down in the roadway in front of the Santa Fe Springs City Hall in the 11700 block of Telegraph Road around 12:55 AM.

Units arriving on scene located an adult male down in the roadway.

Firefighter paramedics responded from a nearby fire station and pronounced the victim deceased on scene.

Initial reports indicate a fight broke out at the nearby Maggie’s Pub and spilled outside.

Security lost visual of the individuals involved in the fight as they continued towards where the victim was found deceased.

Witnesses reported seeing a 2008-style white sedan flee the scene of the incident shortly after.

Police cordoned off the area while they investigated the circumstances surrounding the incident.
