Santa Clarita: Soledad Fire Burns 1,200 Acres, Possibly Sparked By Fireworks
07.05.2020 | 3:27 PM | SANTA CLARITA – The fast-moving “Soledad Fire” grew to 1,200 acres and may have been sparked by illegal firework, Sunday evening.
The fire broke out in the area of Agua Dulce Canyon Road and the SR-14 Freeway around 3:27 PM.
Crews arriving on scene located the fast-moving fire and quickly attacked by blaze.
Despite their efforts the fire grew to over 1,200 acres and prompted hundreds to prepare for evacuations.
Initial reports indicate that the fire may have been sparked by illegal fireworks in the area.
By 10:00 AM on Monday morning the fire was reported to be 30% contained.
