Santa Ana: Pedestrian Struck By Hit & Run Driver
06.07.2020 | 11:42 PM | SANTA ANA – A man was suffering from two broken legs after being struck by a hit-and-run driver, late Sunday night.
Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Edinger Avenue and Bristol Street around 11:42 PM.
Units arriving on scene located a male adult down in the roadway suffering from two broken legs after being struck while crossing the intersection.
Firefighter paramedics treated the victim on scene before transporting him to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers determined that the pedestrian was crossing Bristol Street in a crosswalk when a vehicle traveling southbound struck him.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene without stopping.
A piece of the suspect’s vehicle was located in the intersection and officers are checking surveillance footage from nearby businesses to help locate the suspect.
