Santa Ana: Multiple Vehicles Flee After Striking Pedestrian

06.15.2020 | 1:26 AM | SANTA ANA – A pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by multiple vehicles that fled without stopping, early Monday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian at the intersection of First and Flower streets around 1:26 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a male pedestrian down in the roadway after being struck by multiple vehicles.

Firefighter paramedics treated the man on scene before transporting him to an area trauma center in critical condition.

Initial reports indicate the pedestrian was in a crosswalk when he was struck by several vehicles traveling eastbound on First Street.

None of the drivers that struck the pedestrian stopped to render aid.

No description of the vehicles that struck the pedestrian were immediately available but authorities are checking surveillance footage from nearby buildings.
