Santa Ana: Masked Men Smash Displays, Steal Perfume From Macy’s Store

11.07.2019 | 8:00 PM | SANTA ANA – A trio of masked men with duffel bags made off with high-end perfume after smashing display cases inside a Macy’s, Thursday evening.

Authorities responded to reports of a burglary in progress with at the Macy’s store located within the Main Place Mall in the 2800 block of North Main Street around 8:00 PM.

Units arriving on scene learned that a group of three men wearing ski marks and carrying duffel bags had entered the store and used hammers to smash display cases.

The men stuffed their duffel bags with an unknown amount of high-end perfume before fleeing in an unknown direction,

A ski mask from one of the suspects was located outside the store and is expected to be analyzed by crime scene technicians.

No injuries were reported and it was unknown if any getaway vehicle was associated with the crime.
