Santa Ana: Man, Woman Struck By Vehicle While Crossing Street

03.23.2020 | 11:35 PM | SANTA ANA – A man and a woman were hospitalized after being struck by a car as they crossed a street, late Monday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving two pedestrians at the intersection of West Flower and South First streets around 11:35 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a male and female victim down in the roadway suffering from major head trauma.

Firefighter paramedics treated both victims on scene and transported them to Orange County Global Medical Center.

Initial reports indicate the couple were struck while crossing the street.

The driver that struck the victims, an adult male, remained on scene and was cooperating with law enforcement.

Police said the driver did not appear under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash.
