Santa Ana: High-Speed Crash Traps Man

08.16.2020 | 11:15 PM | SANTA ANA – A man was trapped after a high-speed crash, late Sunday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision in front of La Pizza Pizza in the 100 block of East 17th Street around 11:15 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a vehicle that had collided with the building at high speeds leaving the male driver trapped.

Firefighters extricated the driver in about 15 minutes and rushed him to an area hospital in unknown condition.

The cause of the crash is under investigation but speed is believed to have played a role.
