San Jose: Occupants Cut Free From Car After Deadly Rollover Crash
11.24.2018 | 1:45 AM | SAN JOSE – Four people were hospitalized, two with life-threatening injuries, after a rollover crash, early Saturday morning.
Police and fire officials responded to the reported crash on southbound I-280 just north of Bascom Road around 1:45 PM.
Units arriving on scene found a heavily damaged Mercedes-Benz sedan with four occupants trapped inside.
Using the jaws of life and other power tools, firefighters freed the trapped passengers within 15 minutes.
All patients were transported to area hospitals with serious injures. At least two of the patients were reported to have life-threatening injuries.
Unconfirmed reports indicate at least one of the two patients succumbed to their injuries upon arrival at the hospital.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
