San Jose: Fire Burns Through Home
01.01.2019 | 3:20 AM | SAN JOSE – At least two people were displaced after a fire ripped through a home, Tuesday morning.
Firefighters responded to reports of a structure fire in the 300 block of North 5th Street around 3:20 AM.
Units arriving on scene located a multi-story converted home with heavy fire showing from an upstairs unit.
A second-alarm assignment was requested and additional resources poured in to douse the blaze.
Within 45 minutes firefighters had control of the fire however at least two people were displaced as a result.
The Red Cross was requested to assist the displaced residents.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
