San Fernando: Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Metrolink Train

09.15.2019 | 10:40 AM | SAN FERNANDO – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a Metrolink train, Sunday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a train that had struck a pedestrian at a railroad crossing near the intersection of Maclay Avenue and First Street around 10:40 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a Metrolink train headed to Los Angeles from the Antelope Valley that had struck an male pedestrian.

Firefighter paramedics arriving on scene pronounced the pedestrian deceased on scene.

Authorities cordoned off the area and halted railway operations while they investigated the circumstances surrounding the collision.
