San Diego: Violent Protests, Looting, Vandalism Continues

05.31.2020 | 12:00 PM | SAN DIEGO – Violent protests, looting, and vandalism continued into the second day as unrest continued, Sunday.

Thousands of protesters marched on area freeways and outside the San Diego Police Department headquarters shortly after noon.

Some of the group members refused to comply with police orders and threw rocks, bottles, and even an electric scooter at officers who responded by firing off tear gas, rubber bullets, and other less-lethal ammunition.

Numerous arrests were made and last least one officer was injured.

As the night continued protesters began to vandalize police vehicles and loot stores including CVS and AT&T.

The extent of arrests and injuries was not immediately clear.
