San Diego: Runaway Dog Breaks Into Police Station
06.11.2019 | 11:00 PM | SAN DIEGO – A dog was in custody after breaking and entering into a local police station, Tuesday night.
A good samaritan who nearly hit the loose dog while driving home rescued the black dog and took him to a nearby fire station to receive assistance.
The high-energy dog escaped from the fire station and fled to the nearby San Diego Police Department Northeastern Station located in the 13000 block of Salmon River Road.
The dog entered the police station, startling several officers who corralled the canine into police vehicle pending the arrival of the San Diego Humane Society.
Further investigation revealed the canine had entered the police station and chewed on several medicine balls causing damage before attempting to impersonate a police canine.
Officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident but sources told us charges against the animal are unlikely.
The dog remained in-custody pending bail at the San Diego Humane Society’s Escondido Campus.
