San Diego: Protester Hit By Car (Caught On Camera)
11.09.2016 | 1:45 AM | SAN DIEGO – A University of California, San Diego student protesting against Donald J. Trump’s election was struck by a vehicle after crossing into active lanes on the I-5 freeway, early Wednesday morning.
Approximately 500 UCSD students were marching in protest of Donald J. Trump’s presidential victory at the USCSD campus when the group began marching down the La Jolla Village on-ramp to the I-5 freeway.
During the excursion onto the freeway a female student who walked into lanes in protest was struck by a vehicle.
She was treated on scene and transported with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries to an area hospital.
She later sued the state for failing to protect her during the protest. The case was dismissed.
