San Diego: Police Recover Vehicles Stolen From Car Lot After Pursuit
11.25.2018 | 2:05 AM | SAN DIEGO – At least three vehicles stolen from a car lot were recovered after a police chase, Sunday morning.
Police responded to calls reporting a possible burglary in progress with at least four vehicles being moved at a Speed One Motors in the 6200 block of University Avenue shortly after 2:00 AM.
Officers arriving found a car lot with a vehicle leaving the location and attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle fled from officers, prompting a pursuit.
The suspect crashed soon after the initiation of the pursuit in the 3600 block of College Avenue and fed on foot into an apartment complex.
While fleeing on foot the suspect broke into an occupied apartment and barricaded himself before being subdued by a police K9.
The suspect was taken into custody and officers later located two additional vehicles stolen from the car lot.
On vehicle, a Mitsubishi Galant, remained outstanding.
Investigators were reviewing surveillance footage to identify potential suspects.
