San Diego: Motorcycle Crashes While Fleeing Police

11.19.2018 | 10:40 AM | SAN DIEGO – A motorcyclist was hospitalized with serious injuries after colliding with a sedan while fleeing police, Monday morning.

Officers initiated pursuit on a high-speed motorcyclist on the I-15 freeway near the I-805. The motorcyclist continued to flee at speed in excess of 100+ MPH before existing the freeway.

While racing through city streets the motorcyclist lost control and collided with a sedan.

The suspect attempted to flee at first but caught his foot and was unable to run.

Firefighters responded treated the motorcyclist for his injuries before transporting him to UCSD Hospital with what were described as serious injuries.

Officers escorted the man who was expected to be placed under arrest upon medical clearance.
