San Diego: Masked Man Opens Fire During Bank Robbery

12.30.2018 | 5:00 PM | SAN DIEGO – A masked man opened fire during a bank robbery and then fled before police arrived, Friday evening.

Police responded to a US Bank at Friars Mission Shopping Center in the 1400 block of Frazee Road around 5:00 PM.

While units responded, reports of shots fired within the bank poured in prompting a SWAT team response and fears of a possible active shooter situation.

When authorities arrived they learned that a masked man had robbed the bank at gun point before opening fire and fleeing the location.

Nobody was hit by the gunfire and the gunman made off before authorities arrived.

Multiple agencies were called in to assist searching for the gunman who remained at large.
