San Diego: Man Seriously Injured After Rollover Crash

12.16.2018 | 9:32 AM | SAN DIEGO – A man was hospitalized with serious injuries after losing control of his pickup truck and crashing, Sunday morning.

Authorities responded to the reported crash on the westbound I-8 near the West Mission Bay Drive exit shortly after 9:30 AM.

Units arriving on scene found a silver pickup truck that had rolled off the freeway and was resting on the shoulder of the freeway.

The truck’s solo driver was trapped inside the wreckage prompting firefighters to use power tools to extricate the man.

Firefighter paramedics treated the man on scene before transporting him to an area hospital with serious injuries.

Witnesses reported the man was speeding when he suddenly lost control and flipped the truck.
