San Diego: Man Found Trapped Under Van

02.22.2019 | 10:05 AM | SAN DIEGO – A man was hospitalized with serious injuries after being found trapped underneath a van, Friday morning.

Authorities responded to reports that a couple had discovered legs sticking out from underneath a van after following a trail of blood in the 4700 block of Wilson Avenue around 10:05 AM.

Units arriving on scene located the man trapped underneath the van and initiated rescue efforts.

Using an inflatable cushion firefighters lifted the van and removed the man from underneath. He was treated on scene before being transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

The owner of the van advised police that the van has not moved in months and that he did not know how the man ended up underneath.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
