San Diego: Homeowner Confronts Trailer Thief – Caught On Camera

12.03.2018 | 7:00 AM | SAN DIEGO – A thief attempting to steal a family’s trailer from their driveway was foiled by an attentive homeowner and doorbell camera, Monday morning.

It all started in the 2400 block of Calle Tortuosa around 7:00 AM when a masked woman backed up to a homeowner’s 34′ trailer.

The trailer’s owner was inside her home eating breakfast when her children and Ring doorbell camera alerted her to the thief.

Acting quickly the homeowner confronted the female thief who was in the process of attempting to hitch her trailer.

The thief was deterred by the homeowner and immediately fled from the location.

The San Diego Police Department was alerted to the theft but did not take a report.
