San Diego: Garage Fire Damages Home, Destroys Cars

12.21.2018 | 4:50 AM | SAN DIEGO – A family was displaced after a fire ripped through the garage of their home, Friday morning.

Firefighters responded to reports of a fire in the 2500 block of Deauville Street around 4:50 AM.

Crews arriving on scene located a detached home with heavy smoke and fire showing from a garage.

Flames consumed two vehicles inside the garage and extended into the home as firefighters attempted to extinguish the fire.

Within 30 minutes crews were able to extinguish the fire and no injuries were reported..

The family of four adults and one child were displaced as a result of the fire.

Fire investigators along with the Red Cross are responding to the scene to assist.
