San Diego Firefighters Rescue Trapped Man

10.20.2020 | 1:36 PM | SAN DIEGO – A man hit his bike tire against a wooden block (chock) that was holding the tire of a large trailer in the driveway. The chock was moved and the trailer started to roll towards the house.

The man jumped in between the trailer and the house trying to stop it. The weight and speed of the trailer knock the man to the ground and pinned him under the trailer and up against the wall of the house.

Firefighters arrived and one firefighter (an engineer from Engine 12) was able to pick up the rear of the trailer and move it off of the victim as other firefighters pulled the victim to safety.

This trailer must weigh close to 2,500 to 3,000 pounds. The victim was transported to Mercy Hospital with moderate to major injuries according to the Fire Captain.
