San Diego: Fiery Plane Crash Kills Pilot, Injures Juvenile Passenger

05.31.2020 | 6:00 PM | SAN DIEGO – A pilot was dead and his juvenile passenger injured after a fiery plane crash, Sunday evening.

Authorities responded to reports of an aircraft down in the 30600 block of Palomar Vista Drive in the Valley Center area around 6:00 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a single-engine aircraft that had crashed and was burning.

Firefighter paramedics worked to extinguish the blaze and determined the pilot was deceased on scene.

A juvenile passenger from the aircraft was injured and suffered severe burns but was conscious and rushed to an area hospital.

Additional information regarding the plane crash was not immediately available.
