San Diego: Bystanders Shot After Suspect Misses His Target
11.10.2018 | 5:30 PM | SAN DIEGO – A pair of bystanders were injured after a man attempting to shoot another missed, Saturday evening.
Police responded to calls of multiple shots being fired in the 2300 block of Reo Drive around 5:30 PM.
Officers arrived and discovered both a 15-year-old boy and a 48-year-old woman had been shot outside of a local market.
Initial reports from the scene indicate a fight between two men escalated when one pulled out a gun and began chasing the other.
During the chase, the man opened fire, missing the other man but striking the innocent bystanders.
Both victims were transported to area hospitals and expected to survive.
The suspects fled prior to the arrival of police.
