Salinas: DUI Driver Crashes Into School Bus

01.18.2019 | 6:30 PM | SALINAS – A suspected DUI driver was under arrest after crashing into a school bus, Friday evening.

Authorities responded to reported crash involving a Jeep and a school bus near the intersection of Alisal and Wood streets around 6:30 PM.

Units arriving on scene located the two-vehicle crash with an adult school bus driver and passenger injured.

Firefighter paramedics treated both adults in the school bus on scene before transporting them to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officer investigating conducted field sobriety tests on the driver of the Jeep and determined them to be under the influence.

The driver was placed into custody and booked on suspicion of driving under the influence.
