RSO Deputy Involved Crash, With Extrication

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 8-27-24, 9:53 p.m.
LOCATION: Brown St and Oakwood St

On August 27, 2024, at approximately 9:51 PM, CHP Riverside units responded to a call of a two-vehicle crash involving Riverside County Sherriff’s Department on Brown Street at Oakwood Street. Preliminary investigation revealed, a male driver was driving a Toyota Camry, eastbound on Oakwood Street and the deputy was
driving his Ford Explorer patrol vehicle northbound on Brown Street when a crash occurred.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation at this time. The driver and passenger in the Toyota sustained moderate to major injuries in the crash. The deputy sustained minor injuries. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in this collision. Officer Biczo is the investigating Officer. This is an active investigation and any witnesses who may have observed the incident are encouraged to call the California Highway Patrol
