Rowland Heights: Vegetation Fire Prompts Evacuations

06.30.2019 | 4:55 PM | ROWLAND HEIGHTS – Firefighters contained a vegetation fire that broke out and prompted evacuations, Sunday evening.

Authorities responded to reports of a vegetation fire near the intersection of Old Ranch Road and Desire Avenue around 4:55 PM.

Crews arriving on scene located a fast-moving fire burning grass and mulch.

Within several hours crews had contained the fire to under 3 acres with no injuries or property loss reported.

Evacuations were made to nearby homes but quickly lifted.
