Roof Torn Off Car In Violent 215 Freeway Crash
At approximately 2:09 a.m. on May 12, 2026, emergency crews responded to a major traffic collision on the northbound 215 Freeway north of the 210 Freeway in San Bernardino.
Responding units located a heavily damaged sedan down an embankment with most of the roof ripped off. The driver was found partially hanging out of the vehicle.
Officers pulled the driver farther from the wreckage and began medical treatment until paramedics arrived and transported the victim to a local trauma center with unknown injuries.
Witnesses reported the sedan was traveling at a high rate of speed before colliding with a UPS semi truck and trailer and veering off the freeway.
The semi truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The crash remains under investigation.
