Robbery Suspect Taken Down By Police K-9 (Aftermath) | San Diego

08.22.2021 | 8:05 AM | SAN DIEGO – A male was fishing along the San Diego River near Hazard Center & Mission Center Rd when the male suspect approached and attacked the victim with a large stick. After hitting the male, the suspect stole the victim’s fishing gear. The suspect then walked east along the Riverwalk. Police started to receive calls about the suspect threatening and attempting to rob other people along the river. Officers found the male approx one-half mile (1900 blk of Camino de la Reina) to the east and attempted to stop the male. The male became violent towards the officers and started to throw objects.
