Riverside: Thousands Participate In Black Lives Protest

06.01.2020 | 6:00 PM | RIVERSIDE – Thousands participated in a largely peaceful Black Lives Matter protest in downtown, Monday evening.

Approximately four thousand protesters gathered near the intersection of Main and 6th Street in the downtown area around 6:00 PM.

The group of mostly peaceful held signs and demanded justice for police brutality and the killing of George Floyd.

Members leading the protest asked for all attendees to obey the laws and most complied but a small group of individuals yelled at officers and got rowdy.

Some looting was reported at a nearby CVS but it was unclear if any arrests were made.
