Riverside: Sheared Hydrant Floods Already Wet Roads
12.05.2018 | 12:30 PM | RIVERSIDE – Slick roads were slicker after a driver lost control and sheared a fire hydrant, Wednesday afternoon.
Firefighters responded to a crash in the 400 block of Sycamore Canyon Boulevard around 12:30 PM.
Crews arriving on scene of the solo crash found that a car had sheared a fire hydrant which was spewing water.
The driver of the vehicle suffered only minor injuries in the crash.
Within 30 minutes authorities stopped the flow of water to the hydrant.
