Riverside: Pedestrian Dead After Being Struck On Freeway

10.26.2019 | 1:15 AM | RIVERSIDE – A pedestrian was struck and killed while walking in lanes of a freeway, early Saturday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian on the eastbound SR-60 Freeway near the SR-91 Freeway around 1:15 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a male victim down in lanes and pronounced him deceased on scene.

The driver that struck the pedestrian remained on scene and was cooperating with law enforcement.

It was unknown why the pedestrian was walking in lanes when he was struck.

An investigation is ongoing.
