Riverside: Nine Displaced After Garage Fire Extends Into Home

03.01.2020 | 4:11 PM | RIVERSIDE – Nine people were displaced after a garage fire extended into the living space of a home, Sunday evening.

Authorities responded to reports of a structure fire burning in the 16400 block of Limerick Street near Jonathan Drive around 4:11 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a two-story detached home with heavy fire showing from the garage and began efforts to extinguish the blaze.

Firefighters quickly doused the flames but the fire had spread into the living space of the home.

After 20 minutes the bulk of the fire was extinguished but the nine residents of the home were displaced.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
