Riverside: Motorcyclist Killed After Crashing Into Tow Truck

03.14.2020 | 9:50 PM | RIVERSIDE – A motorcyclist was killed after crashing into a tow truck and becoming trapped underneath, Saturday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a motorcyclist in the 5800 block of Arlington Avenue near Hillside Avenue around 9:50 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a motorcyclist trapped underneath a flatbed tow truck in the intersection.

Firefighters worked to extricate the motorcyclist but pronounced the 54-year-old man deceased on scene.

Initial reports indicate the motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Arlington Avenue when he collided with the tow truck as it turned onto northbound Hillside Avenue from eastbound on Arlington.

The driver of the tow truck driver was uninjured and cooperating with law enforcement.

The identity of the motorcyclist was not immediately disclosed.
