Riverside: Man Killed Outside Marriott Hotel

02.14.2020 | 10:53 PM | RIVERSIDE – A 57-year-old man was shot to death outside a Marriott Hotel, Friday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a shooting with a victim down outside the Marriott Hotel located in the 3400 block of Market Street across from the Riverside Convention Center in downtown around 10:53 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a male victim, later identified as 57-year-old Grant Leggette, Sr. of Rubidoux, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Firefighter paramedics treated Leggette on scene before transporting him to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Initial reports indicate Leggette was walking to his car outside the hotel when an unknown suspect fired multiple shots.

A suspect description or motive was not immediately available.
