Riverside: Hit & Run, Vehicle Shears Hydrant, Thousands Of Gallons Of Water Flood The Street

LOCATION: 17925 Krameria Ave (Miller Middle School)
CITY: Riverside
DETAILS:

  1. Riverside Fire Department and Riverside Police Department responded to a reported sheared hydrant, water emergency call at Miller Middle School.
  2. When Riverside Fire Department arrived, they found a sheared hydrant that had been hit by a car, but the car had fled the scene.
  3. A Western Municipal Water District Rep was called to come and shut off the hydrant.
  4. The geyser was about 50 feet high and took over an hour to shut the hydrant down.
  5. In the video, you can see the power of the water flowing down the street, sidewalks, and through the flower beds.
