Riverside: Freeway Crash Kills One, Traps Another

01.14.2019 | 2:44 AM | RIVERSIDE – One person was dead and another trapped after a two-car freeway crash, Monday morning.

Authorities responded to the reported crash on the southbound I-215 Freeway near Central Avenue around 2:44 AM.

Units arriving on scene found a two-vehicle crash with one vehicle that had overturned.

Firefighter paramedics pronounced one victim deceased on scene and worked to free another who was trapped.

Within 30 minutes firefighters freed the trapped victim and transported him to an area hospital.

Multiple southbound lanes were closed while officers investigated the circumstances surrounding the crash.
