Riverside: Fog Crash Leaves Man Trapped, Vehicle Overturned

11.11.2019 | 4:24 AM | RIVERSIDE – A crash in heavy fog left one person trapped and another vehicle overturned, early Monday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving two vehicles near the intersection of Arlington and Norwood avenues around 4:24 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a white SUV on its roof and a dark colored pickup truck.

The driver of the SUV was uninjured able to free themselves from the wreckage but the driver of the truck was trapped inside.

Firefighters used the jaws of life and other power tools to free the trapped occupant within 15 minutes.

The male driver was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.

The cause of the crash is under investigation but dense fog may have played a role.
