Riverside: Firefighters Battle Intense Fire At Fuel Station

09.03.2019 | 2:04 AM | RIVERSIDE – An intense fire that broke out inside a tire storage facility at a fuel station resulted in a building collapse, early Tuesday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a commercial structure fire at the Flyers Fuel Station located in the 3000 block of East La Cadena Street around 2:04 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a building used to store tires that was completely engulfed in flames.

Firefighters quickly deployed water on the fire to defend nearby structures.

It took nearly two hours for firefighters to extinguish the fire which downed several power lines for nearby homes.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
