Riverside: Dramatic Crash Into Tanker Truck Leaves One Dead, Four Children Injured
11.12.2019 | 6:00 PM | RIVERSIDE – A crash involving a tanker truck left one person dead and four children hospitalized, Tuesday evening.
Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a tanker truck and a possible ejection near the intersection of Main Street and Garner Road around 6:00 PM.
Units arriving on scene located a three vehicle crash involving a tanker truck, a white Kia Sorento, and a white Scion XB.
The driver of the Kia had been ejected and was located lying in the roadway.
Firefighter paramedics treated the ejected driver on scene along with four other children who were located inside the Kia.
The driver was transported to an area hospital where they were pronounced deceased. The four children were transported to Loma Linda Children’s Hospital with unknown injuries.
The driver of the tanker truck and Scion were uninjured.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
