Riverside: Double Shooting Leads To Officer-Involved Shooting

01.13.2019 | 10:35 PM | RIVERSIDE – An officer-involved shooting occurred while officers responded to a double shooting, Sunday night.

Officers responded to the reports of shots being fired near the intersection of Iowa Avenue and Blaine Street around 10:35 PM.

Units arriving on scene discovered a shooting in-progress with two adult victims down.

An officer-involved shooting occurred as a result and the shooting suspects were detained without incident.

Two victims were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries however it was unclear whose gunfire they were struck by.

Police were continuing to investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
